It is important for believers to understand the location of the real battle in their walk with God. This past Sunday, Bishop Tony Miller taught about the location of the real battle in the Kingdom.
The real battle is in our minds.
“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”~2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (NIV)
Our thought processes matter. We must realize as sons and daughters of God that we still have strongholds that need to be broken in the name of Jesus. We must understand how to fight the way God desires us to fight strongholds.
Every person faces strongholds. Strongholds are not demons; they are where demons operate from. Strongholds are systems of thought, arguments, and debates that go on in our head and are contrary to God’s desires for our lives.
We must not allow the enemy to navigate through our thought processes and demolish every thought that is not of God. When we think negatively about ourselves and others there are consequences we may face with ourselves and others.
We must think about what we are thinking about. We must not walk around blindly unaware of what we are meditating on. Transformation in our mind is part of the upside down kingdom that every believer must face.
