This past Sunday, Pastor Ted Yuke, preached about how we love and how it makes a difference.
How I love makes a difference.
Love demands contact. Whenever Jesus loved He touched people’s lives. He washed the feet of His disciples. He healed the sick. He raised the dead. He cast out demons. We are all called to love like Jesus loved. We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Love takes responsibility. Jesus took the ultimate responsibility for our sins, dying on the cross. He who knew no sin took responsibility for our sin so we could LIVE! We MUST take responsibility and love and BE like Jesus. We MUST take responsibility and love like Jesus would. We MUST put on responsibility and be Jesus through our actions in order to love others.
Love produces zeal. The greatest pioneers of the Kingdom of God have the greatest love for Him. They are zealous and burn with passion for God. We are called to love God and others with a passion. We must pray that God lights a passion in us for His Kingdom that no one can blow out.
God gives us discernment when we love. Discernment helps us to love others in a greater measure. It helps us understand how we can love more deeply.
We, The Gate, desire you to love the way God loves and move forward in your walk with Him.
