This past Sunday, Easter, at The Gate Church was very powerful. Over 40 individuals professed their belief in Christ for the first time! We are so very thankful for that!
Bishop Tony Miller had a very powerful sermon on fake news and the GOOD news.
The world is full of fake news. For 2000 years fake news has been circulating throughout the earth. Many create their own spin in order to portray the news in a certain way. Fake news has a source, the enemy. The enemy may look different than we think and channels through fake news.
“The one who is seeking to destroy your life is not a Halloween costume. He comes as deception.” ~Bishop Tony Miller
Fake news is subtle and this makes it dangerous because it is not based on FACT. Many early scientific theories were created based on fake sources.
Fake news has a source who most of the time has twisted thinking.
Fake news shapes our destiny. It distorts our thinking, clouds our decisions, and leads to sin.
Sin is a pesky word. The word sin is transgression against divine law. Divine law is the plumb line by which God rules. There is a HUGE difference between sin and mistakes. Mistakes say, “I don’t have to ask you to forgive me.”
“Mistakers don’t need a savior, they just need an opportunity to do better. If I am a sinner I need a savior.” ~Bishop Tony Miller
May every believer understand their ultimate need for a savior because of their sin. We are praying that you experience the resurrection power of Jesus every day.
